BEFORE YOU GO We would strongly suggest that all the volunteers traveling to Nepal read the information listed in all three (3) categories. _______________________________________________________________________ 1. General Information This section outlines travel related information, field work, diet, rules and regulations, accommodations, and dos and don'ts. Please click on General Information for detailed information. 2. Health Issues for Volunteers Nepal has a wide variety of infectious diseases. It is the responsibility of the participant to see to their own immunization requirements. Volunteers should have a recent (3 year) back up defense in their blood system. The Center of Disease Control (CDC) recommends the immunizations on the attached list, but please check with your doctor as to what he recommends as well. Also, please click on Health Issues for Volunteers for the detailed information regarding causes, precautions and treatments. 3.
